TYPOGRAPHY

Helvetica

This assignment was to make a Typography poster of a typeface, we were randomly given a typeface and I got Helvetica. As you know the Helvetica is a widely used sans-serif typeface developed in 1957 by Swiss typeface designer Max Miedinger with input from Eduard Hoffmann.  It is the most used typeface around the world. It’s been used for every typographic project imaginable, not just because it is on virtually every computer because it works so well. The design embodies the concept that a typeface should absolutely support the reading process that clear communication is the primary goal of typography.

But find it boring because it is so often used that it became too common. So I started making some experiments, playing with the typeface and I came up with something interesting.
